Developing a Niche Site – Part 1
Setting up a Niche Blog is a little different from starting a blog that you are going to use as more of a flagship blog. Since you are primarily using a niche site to promote Google Adsense or a particular affiliate product, you most likely won’t be writing articles every day on the site. You will need to write about five articles initially that contain useful information about your niche. If you just put up useless articles your site will not get traffic. This means you will need to do a little research about your niche. Over the next few days I will be researching all that I can about Laser Hair Removal. Then I will write five 300 word articles about laser hair removal. Then, I need to build some links. I can submit the site to web directories. I can find similar sites and see if they would like to do a blogroll link exchange. Niche sites take time to develop. You will need to continue to add article and links until you get your site up on the first page of the search results. After that you should be able to maintain the site with one or two articles a month. Don’t quit your day job just yet. When you start a blog for business it will be many months before you begin to see any money. Most people will give up before they see the first signs of any income. If it were easy everybody would do it. You can make money, but you will need to work hard to get there.
Miami Laser Hair Removal – Update
I told you in the first article that I would be interested to see where the article would end up on the search results because I had used the keyword “Miami Laser Hair Removal” several times throughout the article. Eight hours after I posted the article I did a search on Google for “Miami Laser Hair Removal” and found the site on page 11 at position 104.
I have spent some time doing some of the foundational work on the site. I added a new theme that I will keep in place until the site begins to get some traffic. This theme is set up very well for SEO. I will not even think about putting Adsense on the site until it begins to get about 10 hits a day. For every ten hits you should generate one click. I also created About, Privacy Policy, Contact, and Terms and Conditions pages. I posted a welcome article. I will start to work on writing the other articles this week. Here is what the site looks like right now:
How to create a blog for a niche is very interesting and the possible potential of the site making money provides a level of anticipation that I find enjoyable. I hope you will as well.
